Project brief
Event Horizon started as one image: a shuttle, tiny, against the glow of an accretion ring. Everything else was built backwards from that frame.
I wanted the film to feel like an IMAX documentary that slowly turns into a dream. The first half is grounded, with real launch physics and slow crane moves. After the jump, the camera starts to orbit and never quite settles.

Every shot used the same three anchors in the prompt (scale, sunlight and haze) so the look stays consistent across six very different locations. The hyperjump was the hardest: twelve attempts before the light streaks read as speed and not as noise.
What I learned: keep the camera move simple when the subject is huge. Orbit and dolly-in did more for scale than any crash zoom.
